The Old Granary is a beautifully renovated stone building on Shortlands Farm in Druidston within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It enjoys wonderful sea views and sunsets over St Brides Bay and is ideal for 6 people (babies are welcome too) but could sleep up to 8 using the sofabed in the master bedroom.
The building has been tastefully renovated using local and reclaimed materials including slate and stone. It is a delicate mix of old and new, modernity and history. A wood burning stove and underfloor heating throughout makes The Old Granary the perfect getaway at any time of year.
Shortlands Farm is situated on the Pembrokeshire coast path, a 186 mile stretch of breathtaking coastline and beaches. The local beach, Druidston Haven, is a 10 minute stroll away and the cottage is well placed for exploring the whole of North Pembrokeshire, and beyond.

“The Granary is beautifully renovated and just as advertised. Kate and family are lovely. A highly recommended spot to retreat from the world for a few days.”
“We absolutely loved our holiday in Druidston. The Old Granary has been beautifully renovated and is equipped with everything you could need for a stress-free holiday. We loved the fact that we could bring our dog, and it’s a very short walk to get down to the local beach, perfect for tiring out children and dogs alike.”
“The Old Granary was the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of town life, and to switch off from phones and gadgets, and spend time together as a family, playing cards and board games and chatting together. The owners are helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The patio overlooks the sea and you see some beautiful sunsets.”
“A great cottage even in February’s wet and windy season, Warm with underfloor heating and a great log burner. The kitchen is well kitted out with plenty of space throughout. Fantastic views out to sea from the front of the cottage and good dog walks from your door step. The owners were great and will be there if you need them. Thank you to Kate & Luke.”
“Great base for local beaches. Really well-set up cottage, plenty of space, good facilities, clean, tidy and dog-friendly. Lovely terrace. Have only good things to say about it.”
“The Old Granary had been extended since we came ten years ago and is now large and spacious inside, calm and tasteful in style, with a large patio looking out to sea, two lovely bathrooms and also a well equipped kitchen. There were six of us staying there and there was ample space for all of us. I loved it and would happily move in and live there for good if I had the choice! Definitely want to come back.”
“The Old Granary is a beautifully converted farm building which manages to be rustic but also warm & cosy at the same time. The modernisation is brilliant with underfloor heating and thermostats throughout, so you’re never cold. Best of all, the big light & warm lounge/kitchen area was just the perfect place to lounge about in on holiday.”
“The Old Granary was one of the very best things about our holiday because it felt luxurious but also like we were definitely in the middle of the country.”
“The accommodation is very well presented with plenty of space, all 3 bedrooms are generous and the living space has all the facilities to make the holiday stress free. There are slate floors throughout and the patio reached through a set of double doors from the living area is the icing on the cake, the views across St Brides bay were fantastic”
“Kate and Luke who own the site are very friendly and welcoming, on our arrival a burst water main further up the road had left the area without any water and they were very accommodating providing a 5lt bottle of water for drinks to tide us over until the water board had fixed the problems. (The welsh cakes were also very welcome) A very good relaxing week with some excellent weather and a wonderful base to return to each day.”
“Enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and well equipped cottage with beautiful views over St Brides bay. Plenty of room for all your stuff and the two bathrooms make this an ideal cottage for two couples or couples on holiday with grandparents and children.”
“The Old Granary has everything you need for a relaxing week by the sea. The kitchen is well equipped and log burner (with endless supply of logs) and underfloor heating make for a very cosy retreat. The rooms are all a great size – more than enough space for 4 adults, 2 children & a baby. The location is perfect with amazing views towards St Davids and great sunsets, and a short walk to the Druidstone hotel/pub and beach. Thanks again for a lovely stay, we’ll be back!”
“The cottage is a great size and does not feel cramped at all. Lots of space for the 5 of us and our little dog too. Owners very accommodating with logs ready and waiting, and all beds made up. Beach and pub only a 10min walk away down a green lan.”
“The Old Granary is exceptionally well presented and well equipped, very clean throughout and in an idyllic location with spectacular views. We will definitely return.”
“The finest coastal panoramic views just for you; a tastefully furnished cottage with excellent beds; an efficient modern kitchen and plenty of room for dining. Parking by the entrance. Warm and well insulated, all one level – no stairs.”
“We stayed at the Old Granary for a week with our two young children (both under 5). The cottage is the most child friendly place we’ve stayed at, but would have been just as comfortable if it had been just me & hubby. The sea views are literally what you see in the photos. I don’t normally like cooking whilst on holiday as I do it all the time, but it was too lovely not to have something at the cottage and sit out on the terrace. We had a lovely, relaxing week and can’t recommend this place highly enough.”
“What can I say, The Old Granary is fantastic. Tastefully done, clean and comfortable, excellent facilities. After two days we felt like we had been on holiday for a week! Kate and Luke were very helpful and friendly. Will defiantly return.”
“The cottage is beautiful, the location is perfect and the area is stunning. The Druidstone pub is a short walk and serves great food. Kate & Luke made our stay very comfortable – wish we could have stayed longer!”
“My wife, four children (0-5) and I had a blissful week at The Old Granary. The conversion is lovely, with huge open kitchen/living space/diner, comfy bedrooms and decent bathrooms. It’s only a few minutes walk down a track to Druidston Haven (our favourite beach in the UK). The views are incredible, right over St Brides Bay. We ate out most nights on the terrace, having BBQ’s, wine and watching the sunset. Hoping to go again this year.”
“Just stayed here for a long weekend the cottage is furnished to a very high standard, beautiful views, will definitely be coming back highly recommended.”
“Tastefully done with excellent art work of the local area! The rooms are spacious and definitely suited our group of 6 adults and dogs. The kitchen is really well equipped – with everything you could possibly need. Spacious living area with comfy sofas and large hall area for those muddy boots and coats and don’t forget the log burning stove in the lounge for the colder months. One of the best bits is the large patio area outside and private garden – ideal for just gazing at the view (or the stars!!).”
“The Old Granary is a great place to stay. The bedrooms are comfortable and large and we loved the generous living space. The house is well insulated from the Pembrokeshire wind and manages to feel cosy and spacious. The children enjoyed playing outside and being so near to the fantastic beach. The kitchen was great for cooking in, but it was also handy to have the option of the nearby pub for good food a short walk away. The views from the house over the bay are fantastic and there is loads to explore nearby.”
“Simple and stylish converted barn, with a fantastic view, 5 mins stroll from an idyllic beach and a great pub. I can’t think of a nicer place to get away from the hurly-burly. The folk who run it deserve to be proud.”
